The ACTU is holding a 1 day forum for women from trade unions and community organisations. The conference will be held in Sydney on 11 October at the Citigate Central Hotel.

The theme is Shaping our Future – Progress for Women in the Next Decade.

The keynote speaker for this event is The Hon Mary Gaudron, QC.

Academics, politicians and public relations experts will be discussing topics such as: 

• Women in the labour market of the future
• Alternative models of care in the future
• Improving opportunity for all women
• Women in leadership
• Achieving change and focussing on shaping public policy
• What is the progressive agenda for women in the coming election?
