ACTU Endorsed Financial Planning Network
ACTU Member Connect recognises that it is difficult for union members to know where to go when seeking financial advice. There are so many organisations and individuals offering financial and investment advice that it becomes a major headache to pick one that is right for you.
In recognition of this need, ACTU Member Connect (formerly ACTU Workers' Trust) has selected a number of organisations providing financial advice that have the capacity and the willingness to provide financial advice to union members. In addition, all endorsed advisers offer an initial free, no obligation consultation along with fully disclosed commission and fee for service advice.
In conjunction with those organisations, ACTU Member Connect has identified a number of individuals within those organisations who have been approved as endorsed advisers. Each of these organisations hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and each individual is authorised by their organisation to provide financial advice. Information about Financial Advice
It is important that union members (whether they obtain advice from an ACTU Member Connect endorsed financial adviser or any other financial adviser) familiarise themselves with the licensing requirements of financial advisers. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in conjunction with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) have a booklet called “Getting Advice” which provides valuable information on choosing a financial adviser and licensing requirements.
