The Anna Stewart Memorial Project has been run since 1984 through most State Trades and Labor Councils to increase women's involvement in the union movement through training.
Anna Stewart was a former journalist and active Victorian union official from 1974 to 1983. Anna died tragically in 1983, aged 35. It is wonderful that the work of Anna Stewart is acknowledged in such a great way, through continuing to educate, activate and inspire women. The project is proudly supported by ACTU Member Connect, Members Equity Bank, Industry Fund Financial Planning and AustralianSuper.
