The hard work of Australian employees should be recognised. For those workers who rely on minimum rates of pay, they look directly to the AFPC to provide that recognition through the provision of a real wage increase.
The ACTU indicated in its March 2007 submission to the Commission, that it would provide further submissions to the Commission following the handing down of the 2007-08 Federal Budget. This submission can be downloaded here.
The ACTU’s claim is moderate and provides for a small real increase to employees who are not in a position to bargain.
