
AGEST is an award winning superannuation fund with membership predominantly from the public sector. They have 180,000 members, over 7,000 employers and more than $3.0 billion in members' assets. They are a not-for-profit super fund, which means that all profits belong to the members.
Anyone can join AGEST.
Any employer can contribute to AGEST.
AGEST is the employer fund for Commonwealth and Northern Territory government employees who are not eligible to join other government superannuation funds, as well as for employees of a number of privatised government agencies.
Many members of other public-sector defined benefit funds direct their salary sacrifice contributions to AGEST. Many spouses of AGEST members also join AGEST.
AGEST has its own allocated pension for members who want to draw a regular pension payment when they become eligible.
AGEST is managed by a corporate trustee, AGEST Super Pty Ltd (ABN 44 007 390 392), which controls and manages the fund. AGEST Super Pty Ltd was established by the Commonwealth Government and the ACTU in 1990.
