Bargaining for Super - ACTU Campaigns

Later in 2011 the Federal Government is likely to seek to legislate a staged increase to the Superannuation Guarantee rate from 9 to 12 per cent.
After years of inaction on the adequacy of superannuation under the Howard Government this will be a very welcome development that follows a concerted campaign by unions and industry funds.
But with such tight numbers in Parliament, it is vital that all those who want to see better retirement outcomes for millions of working Australians continue to make the case that we need higher national superannuation to Federal MPs.
The ACTU is working with our union affiliates and the industry funds sector to step up our campaign.
